Project Background Overview
In 2024, an Indian customer, with extensive experience in the refining industry, decided to invest in a waste oil distillation project in Kenya. This customer visited DOING's Ghana waste oil distillation project site. They confirmed the non standard diesel produced could power generators. Following this, the customer visited the DOING factory to discuss equipment configurations and finalized the purchase of a 10TPD new waste oil distillation plant.

The DOING DY-D-10 waste oil distillation plant installed includes:
One set of 10 TPD DY-D-10 waste oil distillation reactor
Dedicated solid catalyst tower system with proprietary solid catalyst
Dual heating system (main burner and heat transfer oil furnace)
Multi-stage horizontal tubular condenser system
Deep purification and decolorization tanks with automatic blade filter
Integrated control panel and safety protection units

Distillation Stage:
Distillation is the first crucial step in the distillation process for waste oil. Waste oil is pumped into the reactor. A combination of thermal oil heating and direct heating at the base mechanism gradually raises the temperature to approximately 100 degrees Celsius. This temperature is maintained for a specific period to release some oil vapors and separate out impurities. Subsequently, the temperature is further increased to 380–400°C, causing the oil to release vapors in large quantities.

The key highlight of DOING's new solid catalytic distillation plant is its innovative solid catalytic refining technology. During the high temperature distillation stage, the generated oil gas directly enters DOING's specialized solid catalytic tower.
Simplified and Efficient Process: Compared to traditional liquid catalysis, solid catalytic refining bypasses the step of condensing oil gas into crude oil for further treatment. It directly purifies the oil gas, significantly shortening the overall production process.

Fine Treatment: Enhancing Product Purity and Appearance
After solid catalytic refining, the oil gas condenses into liquid. This liquid then enters the decolorization and deodorization unit. Through dedicated decolorization tanks and high efficiency blade filters, fine purification and decolorization treatment occurs. This effectively removes residual color and odors. The result is clean, bright colored non standard diesel. This step significantly boosts the commercial value of the product.

Equipment Installation and Onsite Commissioning
The DOING engineering team provided comprehensive guidance and assistance for equipment installation at the Kenya project site. The installation process strictly followed design standards. It included:
Precise positioning and connection of the reactor and solid catalytic tower.
Sealing tests for the circulating cooling system and pipelines.
Electrical wiring and program debugging for the integrated control system.
After installation, onsite technical personnel received thorough training. This covered equipment operation, daily maintenance, and solid catalytic tower management. It ensures smooth and efficient equipment operation.
